Hotel Chevalier closing sequence

So I've been stuck in a dilemma for the past few days considering the music for the closing title sequence. Originally, I had planned to use a toned down cut of a somewhat "peppy" song. Essentially I had just slowed the original cut of it down, and it still has a great feel of a short, independent film, and as such I have been trying to avoid resorting to something else.
In hindsight, I have really been spending way too much time thinking about this, and now have decided to use "Lonesome Town" by Ricky Nelson. I suppose that in terms of the three songs that are to be used in the movie (opening sequence, 1 song in the film, and one in the closing sequence), there would be a bit of a symmetry to the three in terms of how old they are. While this could just be a matter of happenstance, It seems to have a bit of an auditory flow, or regression -- as opposed to a 90's song, then late 60's song, then early 70's song. In this case, the sound/recording quality will naturally gradually "deteriorate" over the course of the opening sequence, film, and closing sequence.
So basically... here are the three tracks for the title sequences and film:
Opening Sequence:
"Miss Misery" Elliott Smith (edited down to about the first 42 seconds) ~ 1997
Song In The Film:
"Where do you go to my Lovely?" Peter Sarstedt (one of my fav songs) ~ 1969
Closing Sequence:
"Lonesome Town" Ricky Nelson (more than likely no reason to modify) ~ 1958
